Hospice of Philadelphia
Adult and Pediatric Hospice Care from The VNA of Greater Philadelphia
The VNAs Hospice of Philadelphia enables patients with a serious, progressive illness to live at home as fully and as comfortably as possible wherever home may be, even a nursing home or personal care facility. The hospice team includes nurses, social workers, home health aides, a chaplain, on-call nurses, volunteers and a bereavement coordinator. Palliative care goes beyond traditional services providing expert pain/medication management, pastoral care, respite care, and counseling to patients and their families in their homes.
Why our hospice care is both unique and exceptional
Our Quality of care is unsurpassed - Our accreditation by the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) proves it. But we go even further with our own internal Quality Improvement oversight.
Were responsive to patient needs because we have such a large staff, many with us for years, patients and their families are able to receive a caring Hospice evaluation within Two hours of referral.
Comprehensive Services Our hospice patients benefit from the complete array of services developed over a decade and funded through community support including wound care and ostomy specialists, mental health nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists.
We support a charitable mission We raise funds to support patient care for those who cannot either afford care or are uninsured. In addition, any profits we make go to support patient care and program development, keeping our care both current and innovative.
We are not committed to shareholders -= our only commitment is to our patients and the complete satisfaction of the clients who refer them. No one owns us but our community, personified by a Board of Trustees of volunteer community representatives.
